welcome to Perth

Perth has quickly become one of my favourite cities, it's bustling with city folk tweeting, sipping on iced coffee and running for the bus, there's tower blocks filled with offices and banks, the streets are gleaming clean and the folk are super friendly, but most importantly there's a gorgeous, lush green park just outside the CBD...

Kings Park  boasts over 400 hectares of landscaped gardens making it one of the biggest inner city gardens in the world (way bigger than Central Park in NYC).

There's a heck of a lot of exploring to do, but instead we decided to find a nice shaded spot on the grass  to relax and listen to the birds singing from and started to plan the rest of our aussie adventures.

Just a side note to apologise because the internet here is terrible- not to get too technical but today we hit a whopping 0.43MB download speed, wahhhoooooo. I'll be blogging as often as I can and am slowly working my way through more blogposts than I care to count!

Hope you're all having a fabulous new year,

christmas day down under

I've been keeping a little secret from you all, as a christmas present to us we decided to hop on a plane to spend the holidays in the sunshine...

and after a rather generic start to christmas day it all went a bit upside down...

Despite it only being 10am the sea was perfect and we definitely were not alone, the beach was packed ( australia packed, not bournemouth beach packed) with families toasting champagne, chasing each other on their jet skis and kids playing in the surf. After an hour we headed home and christmas day continued...

After a huge roast dinner - no bbqs here- we got down to business with the silly games, I baked mince pies and mulled wine which we devoured when the evening sun dissapeared before partying the night away with friends.

Best christmas ever? I think so.
