Architects and heroes, Subiaco

I've wanted to visit Artchitects and Heroes in Subi ever since we moved to Perth but have never had the chance or when I have, I've been put off by the queues (which seem relentless but ,I now know, clear relatively swiftly). We managed to get a table within 15 minutes, but were sat elbow to elbow with other brunch go-ers on a 6 seater table on the pavement.

A perfect white coffee

I loved the table top gardens, a nice change from all the floral bouquets..

Dan already knew he wanted a fry up so spent a whole 20 seconds looking at the menu. When it arrived he looked pretty happy with himself, beautiful runny eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, beans...the works.

I went for the muesli bowl, which is more of an overnight oats / porridge affair but tastes absolutely incredible, it definitely killed my sweet tooth for the day without being entirely naughty.

The food was served fairly quickly after ordering, the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming and promptly checked everything was okay after we'd had a chance to taste our food (I swear servers are doing this less and less these days?!). The quality of the food was brilliant, you know the kind of meal where each bite tastes as good, if not better, than the last? Two coffees and our two meals came in at $45 which is about on parr with most Perth brunches. Apart from the lack of space I can't fault the place, friendly staff, affordable, great coffee and great food!
