Araluen botanic park

Last week, amongst the hustle and bustle of fashion week (and working night shifts), we escaped to the beautiful Araluen botanic park around 40 minutes from Perth. I was so excited to see the tearoom offered a  'Devonshire cream tea' sadly it was a long way off the gorgeous cream teas I grew up on in Devon, but it was still pretty yummy, and very affordable at $9.50pp.

This year Araluen parked over 120,000 tulip bulbs resulting in many stunning displays of colour, my only slight annoyance was that I couldn't find any labels telling me what type of tulip they were. We had such a lovely day photographing all the flowers and appreciating the beautifully maintained gardens.

Entry to Araluen is $15 per adult, I recommend arriving early as the park gets very busy.
