some exciting news...

If you've followed my blog or twitter for a while you'll probably know we've been in the process of applying for Australian visas for quite a long time now, but finally we have some exciting news. In exactly 6 months time we'll be heading to gatwick airport with our lives in suitcases for the most exciting flight of our lives. Our visas were granted in the middle of the month but I've needed some time to finally get my head around the fact that this is really happening, in 6 months time we leave the UK and only return for holidays. I'm going to be writing posts during the countdown to let you all know how it's going and to kind of diarise my feelings about the big move. We genuinely have so much to do over the next few months; hand in our notices at work, I need to find myself a new job down under, we need to whittle our lives down in to just a few suitcases and I've promised myself to get that beach body well before we go.

We've also vowed to spend as much time as possible with friends and family before we go, we've already started to see the changes in those around us since we told them, some refusing to accept the news that we won't be in the next county anymore instead we'll be over 20 hours away by flight. At the same time, most people have vowed to see us as much as possible, I've made so many promises to my niece and nephew of exciting things to do and now we only have 6 months to tick off countless cinema trips, climbing around go ape, splashdown, a shopping trip to build-a-bear etc. I'm so grateful for everyone who's supported us with this new adventure so far and I really hope you'll all still follow me on this amazing, wonderful adventure to the other side of the world.
