It's official...

We live in Australia!!!
So the past week has been a big blur of lists, lists about this and that and things back home to sort out...note to self you still haven't sorted out your pension. But I am so happy to say that we're here, we're safe and we're loving it. I can't wait to get exploring so I can update you all on what we're up to, sorry that it's such a quick post but everything we've done so far has been pretty boring!

eat, sleep, gym, repeat.

To say life is hectic right now is an understatement, we have to do lists coming out of our ears and the stress levels seem to be quite rapidly rising day by day. But the one thing keeping me sane is scheduling in time to work out. I recently made the decision to ditch all my old grubby workout kit and invest in a new capsule gym kit, so instead of 15 grubby old mens t-shirts and what resemble school P.E shorts I now have lovely soft dri-fit gym kit and it makes me so much more excited to work out.

What do you wear to workout in?

a lux picnic

I was due to go up to London to catch up with one of my favourite ladies over the weekend, but unfortunately couldn't make it, so she suprised me by coming to Bournemouth instead! We grabbed a pinic and wandered up to Henguistbury head in Christchurch...

Look how wonderful and sunny it was! We were also able to catch some of the planes from the Bournemouth airshow flying overhead, you can just about see one in the picture of the reeds.

We found a quiet little spot and laid out our pinic...

Generic blogger enjoying food photo
and I tried my hand at posing fashion blogger style.... I quickly remembered why I'm not a fashion blogger!

After a few hours of chatting everything from Australia to drunken nights out we headed, in true Aussie style, to the pub...

which just happens to have a wonderful beer garden right on the river, perfect!

20 days to go....

I cant believe that the last australia update was 80 days ago, when we still had 100 days to go....how time flies! It's now just under 3 weeks until we leave our UK lives behind and take the biggest move of our lives to Australia. Since the last update I've started a blog just about our move called from aus with love on which I'm going to put posts for friends and family to keep up to date, we also got postcards printed to hand out at our leaving parties and to colleagues at work. So much has happened since the last update away from setting up blogs, we've handed in our resignations at work (although they knew it was coming anyway), we've opened our bank accounts with HSBC Australia, we've done carboot sales (still more to do though!), met so many friends for drinks and dinners etc. etc. etc.

So the next 20 days...

  • We have three leaving parties over the next three weeks all with different groups of people.
  • We still have a tonne of stuff to sell / take to charity / sort out.
  • We're moving to live with another part of the family, yay more moving!
  • Going to Brighton to see Lauren & Athena and Laura
  • Finishing working our notice at work
  • Having last minute catch ups with Rosie when she's back from America and Lux the evening before we fly
and all the finer little details...that aren't so fine...like moving our money and packing our suitcases!

Expect irratic blogging because right now life is SO busy.
