A few hours north of Perth sits Nambung national park, home to The Pinnacles a mind blowing series of limestone formations- some up to 5 metres in height, surprisingly geologists still can't decide how they were formed (there's several theories floating around on the Internet if you're interested). I know rocks aren't necessarily the most exciting thing to see on holiday but it has to be in the top 5 things I've ever done, the sheer amount of the formations left me speechless and the fact no one knows how they came to be makes them just a little bit more special!
Hope all my lovely readers are doing okay with the terrible weather in the UK and America, wrap up warm!
What's the most amazing geology-ish thing you've seen? I think this is probably 2nd on my natural wonders to Iguazu falls (click this for some serious wanderlust!)
