a beach day with surf stitch

 The lovely folk at Surfstitch, one of my favourite online clothing and surf shops recently got in touch and asked if we wanted to pick out some beach essentials from their website, I couldn't say no! 

So we popped some of our favourite picks in the basket and they arrived a few days later. Unfortunately the weather in Perth has been terrible lately (not that you can tell from these photos) so we chose some warmer outfits and head to the beach during a break in the storms...

Spring / Summer 2015 with Target

When an email lands in your inbox inviting you to brunch it's pretty hard to turn down. When an email lands in your inbox inviting you to brunch and then to sit in the Frow for Target's runway show, it's impossible. 

Our first venue for the say was the beautiful Alex hotel in Perth, a beautiful boutique style hotel which has proved super popular with all the Perth bloggers since opening. Target had transformed a meeting room on the 6th floor into an absolute floral delight.

We were treated to a selection of yummy food and drinks before hearing from celebrity stylist Donny Galella and some of Target's top style gurus about the spring/summer 2015 looks. We were then given a sneak peak of Rachael Zheng's capsule collection, Rachael won the Target graduate showcase and has since designed her collection which will roll into stores soon.

After brunch we had some free time before the runway show so I took a wonder around Perth to try and snap some street style...

After a quick coffee pit stop we head to Forest Chase to find our seats for the runway show..

I loved that Target featured looks on women with all different shapes and sizes, so refreshing to see normal sized ladies looking fabulous on the catwalk!

At the end of the show Jessica Mauboy came out and gave an incredible performance, dancing and singing with audience members. 

The atmosphere was amazing, and when all the models returned to the catwalk singing and dancing I couldn't help but jiggle along too. Possibly the most fun, energetic runway show I've ever been to. 

Thankyou Target for a fabulous morning, I can't wait to start shopping to new collection!

Telstra Perth Fashion Festival 2015 - Opening night Dilettante

Regular readers will know I'm not the most fashionable girl in the world, but when the opportunity arose to be front and centre as part of the media at the opening night at Telsta Perth Fashion Festival 2015 I couldn't say no. Camera charged and lenses cleaned I head down to Perth concert hall.

'WA boutique Dilettante will present three of their contemporary Australian designers at the TPFF 2015 Opening Night; representing the very best in local, national and international fashion. The combination of 33 Poets’ experimental pieces, Yang Li’s sharp, monochromatic designs and Maticevski’s mastery of feminine silhouettes through his expert construction will capture the artistic imagination of fashion design in a single runway event. '

Above is just a small selection of some of the gorgeous pieces presented by Dilettante, the last two looks being my personal favourites. It was a gorgeous night, filled with beautiful celebrities (including the WA premier), bloggers and fashionistas alike. Karrinyup active 15

This weekend I was kindly invited to the Karrinyup shopping centre active 15 launch at Mosman Park bowling club. We were spoilt to fashion shows featuring this seasons key spots luxe pieces, a plethora of yummy health food and drink and the chance to try playing barefoot lawn bowls.

The fashion shows were held on the lawn and the models made sure we got an idea of how the pieces faired during a workout..

We also got to hear a short interview with former Australian pole vaulter turned fitness guru (and instagram queen) Amanda Bisk.

When the fashion was done we were free to enjoy all the food and drink...

It was all delicious, especially the raw blueberry cake! I also loved the juices we were given from the guys at Pressed Earth
