Perth health and fitness expo

If you've followed me and my blog for a while you'll know all about my love for health & fitness, from super spiritual yoga with a rosie outlook to squat club & crossfit with Ella from Strong little bunny. I was so excited when I heard about Perth health and fitness expo, filled with powelifting, bodybuilding, crossfit and product demos. But I was double excited when I heard they were having a bloggers morning, little did I know....

We arrived before the expo opened and were introduced to Max ' The body' Philisaire, fitness model and personal trainer to the stars. I was blown away at how humble and encouraging he was, but also by the size of his biceps, holy hell.

Sadly I had to sit most of the workout out due to my slowly healing piriformis, but it was the perfect chance to snap the other girls in action.

Laps of running mixed with push ups, burpees, mountain climbers, star jumps, pull ups, box jumps, more burpees and kettle bell swings.

Everybody loves box jumps right?!
Check out Eloise from one active life showing off her awesome form!

One the workout was done we head over to another area for a quick smoothie demo from Kim Beach, who confirmed that frozen bananas = super thick smoothies.

and then a photo op with Commando Steve...

and then all the pre workout samples kicked in...

We were let loose (filled with pre workout) to explore the rest of the expo..

Michelle Bridges working out a VIP group and sporting a gorgeous baby bump!

Some amazing Perth lady lifters.

and err...more pre workout?!

We all had a great day and I'm actually a bit gutted that I left before the bikini girls competed! Bring on next year when I'll be able to join in all the fitness fun.

Aus fitness and health expo run events across Australia throughout the year, it's a great way to find new products (did I mention pre work out?), stock up on Quest bars, meet your favourite fitness celebrities and find some inspiration from the local competitors.

22 Sept 2014

eat, sleep, gym, repeat.

To say life is hectic right now is an understatement, we have to do lists coming out of our ears and the stress levels seem to be quite rapidly rising day by day. But the one thing keeping me sane is scheduling in time to work out. I recently made the decision to ditch all my old grubby workout kit and invest in a new capsule gym kit, so instead of 15 grubby old mens t-shirts and what resemble school P.E shorts I now have lovely soft dri-fit gym kit and it makes me so much more excited to work out.

What do you wear to workout in?
