Unfortunately when we woke up the weather had taken a turn for the worse, but we didn't let it dampen our spirits and headed straight for the beach once again.
We spent our time running along the sand and cuddled up watching the magnificent blue waves crash against the shore line, after a while we decided to do some more exploring. We stopped back at the campsite where someone told us that Lake Cave was just a short walk away, so off we went..
This beautiful 'suspended table' is the only structure of it's kind open to the public in the world, it weighs several tonnes and was formed over thousands of years.
Lake Cave entry is $22 per adult, which is more than reasonable. The tour was short at just under an hour but after there was plenty of time to sit on the observation deck afterwards and admire the beautiful structures of the doline through which you enter the cave.
When were done at the cave we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon driving around the area, and by some magnificent coincidence found ourselves at the Millers Ice cream farm cafe just as the sun came out...
Passionfruit / apple pie / mint chic chip for Dan & Coffe / Irish cream / honeycomb for me
Ice cream is my kryptonite so I was more than happy devouring a tub full. We spent some time walking around the grounds (and definitely not playing on the kids playground) before heading back to base for another evening of BBQ and Jack Johnson (I want to say songs around the campfire but Fire is banned).
